Black and white photograph of Andrew Taylor Still and Hiram Mark Kepner on brown textured matting in a wooden frame, image shows Still talking to Kepner in front of a house and several trees, Still is the man in black pants and Kepner wears light colored pants, handwritten below the left edge of the image is "Dr. A.T. Still", back is sealed with brown paper and reads "Hiram Mark Kepner - 1870's/d 1908 '80" "Urich, MO Henry Co" and "[Orc] 6 Jan 3, 1899" in black pen and "H.M. Kepner with light clothes Dr. Still Founder of Osteopathy with dark trousers First person to pay as much as $100 for treatments" in pencil; 13.6 cm (w) x 11.3 cm (h) x 1.3 cm (d). Frame is somewhat dirty, some chipping of the wood on the back side, some superficial scratches on the glass, some brown marks on the mat, upper left corner of the mat bent, photograph is fades, some brown marks around the edges of the image, some tearing in the paper backing, black and brown spots and marks on the paper backing, backing is slightly dirty. |
