Published by F.A. Davis, Publisher in Philadelphia, book is dark, muddy brown with satin sheen hardback cover, gold title on the spine and covers have a double recessed linear border; 16.5cm (W) x 23.9cm (L) x 2.9cm (D), 389p. Modifications include "Property of K.C.O.S. Library" stamped on three of four sides of book, Yellow rectangular sticker adhered on the inside front cover of book reading "The Memorial Library of the Andrew T. Still College of Osteopathy and Surgery Kirksville, Missouri This volume presented by Mrs. Geo. M. Laughlin", "3796" is written on the copyright page, three numbers are written and marked on the bottom of the title page rubbing off onto facing page, two numbers are written on the bottom of the preface page and marked out, a library out card is adhered to the inside back cover and the last page, the bottom of the spine has a painted black square with the call number written in white. Damage includes acid burned pages, strong fading on top of book from light damage, significant wear on the bottom of the front and back cover, bent and frayed corners, bottom of spine is dented and torn in four places, bottom side of spine is torn from bottom up 4cm. Front cover has scratches and light scuff marks throughout with two long deep thin scratches on the bottom proper left corner 5cm and 3.5cm in length. Back cover also has strong scuff marks and fading; top of spine is ripped and torn with a small section missing. |
