Summary |
Packard, Francis R., History of Medicine in the United States Volume II; 1932. Published by Paul B. Hoeber Inc. in New York City, hard cover, dark blue with gold embossed text on spine and the publisher insignia embossed in the center of the front cover; 16.5 x 23.7 cm., 664 pg. Modifications include a library card adhered to the inside back cover and last page of the book, a Memorial Library of the Kirksville College of Osteopathy presented by sticker on the inside front cover, "2682" is written in black ink on the copyright page beneath the text, and "Property of KCOS Library" is stamped on three of the four sides of the book. At the bottom of the spine is a biege circular sticker and a black rectangle painted above it with a white label bearing the library number over it. Good condition; damages include acid burned pages, particularly on the top of the book, dented corners on the cover, bented spine on the top and bottom, coating on the top and outside edge of the front cover is mostly gone, leaving an indigo coloring (looks like it may have been caused by removing some kind of adhesive or tape), scratches are vertically down the center of the front cover, and three more spots that have been scratched off are along the in a slightly arched diagonal ~8cm up from the bottom proper right corner. There is also some light scuffing on the back cover and yellowing along the bottom of the spine. |
