Poem about a Troubled Marriage; No Date. Poem about a troubled marriage attached to page 44 of the Ilgenfritz Scrapbook, clipping taken from the Owenboro Post, poem describes the course of a relationship from their early love based on physical attraction to their difficult first year of marriage to the husband killing their children and shooting himself in the head and ends with the widow back in her home from the beginning and choosing not to form a relationship again; 5.7 cm (w) x 20.5 cm (h). Paper yellowing, extensive brown stains, black smudges and marks, top corners torn off, top edge bent and torn, bottom edge torn. |
