Scrapbook, Theta Psi Fraternity Scrapbook; 1981. Scrapbook has cardboard cover with decorative image of a mountain on both the front and back of the book, the mountain has snow on it, the sky is blue behind the mountain and there is a lake and trees in the foreground, the covers of the scrapbook are screwed together with metal binders at top and bottom, the individual pages are visible between the covers at the spine, marbleized cream and gold paper lines the inside faces of the scrapbook, the scrapbook holds fifty-seven pages, the paper pages are cream in color or purple in color; 36.5 cm (w) x 31.8 cm (h) x 2.5 cm (d) when closed; 57 pp. White spots of dormant mold are visible across the surface of the scrapbook, a gritty feeling is present on the covers from fiber inclusions as well as the dormant mold, there is a large brown stain in the viewer's upper right corner of the front cover, the corners are dented from contact with other artifacts and age, and the paper inside the covers is faded from age with stains and additional dormant mold. |
